I'm switchin to Intel. I'm a BF3 nut with a hardware addiction.
Next weekend I'm ordering:
- 2700k @5ghz (hopefully, I'm going out on a limb for a better binned chip. Plus you get a 100mhz bump in non-turbo mode)
- ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z
- Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 16GB (4x4) DDR3 1600
To replace my:
- 8150 @4.62ghz
- MSI 890FXA-GD70
- Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4) DDR31600
^^ This will all be for sale very soon
I'm going to rock my 2x Powercolor 2GB 6970 PCS+ for about a month or so, Then those are goin up for sale and I'm switching to:
- 2x Asus Direct CUII 7970's.
I really love AMD, but to really stretch the legs of 2 7970's, I need to make the switch.
I briefly considered the 6 core 3930k, but for all the extra money for 2 cores that, in most cases, won't be fully utilized, especially 12 threads. Maybe 6C/12T in 2013/2014?
