Most of the stuff I run runs faster on P4's and no, I don't have $589 for an X2 LOL! Being an Intel user, I have to buy a new motherboard and wanting to get better gaming performance, I have to spend another $269 for an ATI 800XL since I don't have enough for the two 6600GTs I'd like. Cheaper?????No it's not better when a simple 3GHz $210 630 runs Premiere Pro 7 faster than an A64 FX-55. Or when 820 costs less than a 3500+, better? Depends what you run and I plan to run both. Best all around or overall only depends on what you do, all around or overall.

I would say more people are interested in gaming than video/photo/audio work on this forum, and because of this more people on this forum prefer AMD to intel, because for them AMD is currently making the better product. Also, the majority of things that Intel chips are used for, could be done more cost effectively with an AMD processor.
