intel user wants help to choose amd processor

Is the L2 Cache Latency on all K8 CPU's? Regardless of Revision and Size of cache?

You have a Toledo right? Have you benched it yet?

I dont have my Clawhammer anymore, but, Tsueh has one and Eclipse have one. My Manchester does 12 cycles, and the Turion at my work does too.

Oh and tomorrow night. Me + You versus: MEC on BF2.
 
Yeah I have a Toledo. But I was just wondering if the L2 Latency has improved since the beginning of the K8 life. I know my Latency, but just curious about other chips too.

I know a Low L2 Latency on the Dothan makes it shine. 2MB of 10 Cycle Latency... that owns.

Well I am stationed in coastal Carolina.. .and right now we have a Hurricane off our port stern :) I might not have power/internet in a few hours. But if I do, you best beleive i will be there.

Yeah, I noticed that on my Dothan. Pretty snappy little bastard, haha. It's too bad the Prescott's cache has to have a high latency. Has to do with branch prediction and reducing cache misses right? With it's gigantic pipeline, those tend to hurt.
