For the Sandy Bridge i saw in the web the maximun temp recomended is 72º

- Intel 2500K

And for Ivy 67º

- Intel 3570K

But i read in lot of forums that Ivy has a high temperature value.

Is wrong the web?

What is the highest temp recomended for Ivy, asi for Sandy is 72º?

By the way, i have a 3570K with a CoolerMaster 212 EVO and artic silver 5 with no overclock.

In Battlefield 3, the temp goes to 64-65º

In Metro 2033, 58-60º

Are this temps high?

Greetings

I would think your temps are high. I do not have Intel, but my AMD 965 with a Xigmatek LOKI 92mm never goes above 61C in the summer while playing games like BF3 or similar.

Maybe check the fan/heatsink, remount them, and set up a more aggressive fan profile (will result in more noise).

Or get a better cooler.

AMD's cpu's have a low max temp. 61 is probably high.

They are normal to low. Remember that the the max temp on ivy-bridge is 105C so you are very far from that.

With the release of the 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processors this processors are better able to deal with heat allowing them to reach higher temperature without damaging the processor. Under load with LinX on my overclocked Intel Core i5-3570K I am running in the mid 70c without worry but I have seen people who are in the 80c and not having problems.

Thermal throttling temperature set by Intel at the factory is 105C for Ivy Bridge desktop CPUs like the Core i5-3570K. If it wasn't safe to run your CPU up to this core temperature, Intel would simply lower the thermal throttling temperature to prevent this from happening.

AMD does not locate temperature sensors at the hottest spots on the core like Intel does. This allows users to push Intel CPUs harder without having to worry about damaging them. Great technology.
