Intel strengthens Core 2 lineup

1333 FSB versions would be less attractive than 1066 ones due to a lower multiplier. On the other end, the E4xxx would be the next Celeron 300A due to his high multiplier and low fsb.

I would watch the E4300 closely on release and see if those are better overclockers...

yea i can't wait untill these things hit the retail pipeline .

the only real problem i see with them is that there not for sale yet!

a 9x multi or 10x on the 4400 would make OCing a snap --even a cheap MB with the mid range ram should be able to make some very decent overclocks with the 4300/4400's .

even the 4200 could be a nice deal if it's cheap enough--with a 8x multi it could still be a nice overclocking chip and if it's price is reasonable enough--you can afford to cherry pick a couple at a time.

if the 4400's or 4300s were out i would by one today !

i'm willing to bet that when K8L launches, if it is faster than the current Core 2s that Intel will simply crank the clockspeed as much as it can to close the gap. We'll probably be seeing 3ghz+ high end chips that are non XE

but yea, it isn't really about the raw speed anymore.... AMD's Fusion and Torrenzas are very interesting technologies, and a faster CPU is only part of the equation these days.

System on a chip.... hell, I'd buy one
