I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the majority of BSOD problems stem from older motherboard chipsets and/or bios configs.
A claim that is difficult, if not impossible, to prove. The OP had a system that was working fine with an X25-M. When he changed to a Sandforce Intel 520, his system started crashing. Unless there is something the OP failed to mention, then it is a clear case of a Sandforce SSD causing his computer to crash. Whatever hardware he has, the X25-M was compatible with it, while the Sandforce SSD apparently had problems. It seems yet another example of years of problems Sandforce has had with compatibility. Compared to Intel X25-M, Samsung 830, or Plextor SSDs, it is unfortunate but true that a purchaser is more likely to have problems with Sandforce.
