forgive my noobidity, but were there any socket 423's that were HT?

if yes, then would such an HT 423 work on a motherboard equipped with 845 chipset?

im asking, as i bought 3 IBM 6792-22U's yesterday, with 423 1.8's, if HT exists for 423, then i would pick them up somewhere and upgrade these machines to their max. if not, then ill just run them as they are.

thanks,
jonathan

Socket 423 has no HT and only come in speed between 1.3 GHz and 2.0 GHz top (Williamette core). What you need to get HT is at least a s478 with a Northwood core.
