Like every nano-technology breakthrough from Intel, AMD, IBM, TI, etc. ask these questions:

1. When will this technology materialize? (Usually it takes 5-10 years for proof-of-concept demos like these to make their way into usable products).
2. How will the developers overcome the manufacturing difficulties that come with every bleeding-edge technology?
 
I'm really looking foward to seeing how technology changes in the next 20, 30, 50 years
 
That will make for some nice fibre optic switching. I can see a big future for this type of technology
