Intel RAID caching and external RAID5?

I'm trying to free up some SATA slots on my board and one way I can think to do that is to move my slow HDD RAID5 outside of the board. I have a Z87 ITX board w/ eSATA and mSATA, but those slots double-up as SATA slots on the board.

Currently I have 2xSSD in RAID1 and 3xHDD in RAID5 w/ an SSD cache drive.

Another issue is the ICH10R drivers for Windows don't allow multiplexing drives from the eSATA port like other OSes so I can't just hook it into a dumb SATA extender like I do on other machines.


Is there an external eSATA unit I can buy that allows hardware RAID5 that presents Windows with a single drive? I'd like to make the Intel chip think that's a single drive and that I want SSD cache on it?

Or is there a unit that allows SSD caching of RAID5 other than the Intel motherboard chip?
