Intel question plz

Currently all sources are saying that haswell will be on a new socket and not compatible with existing boards.

I doubt intel will drop prices on ivy parts much after haswell release.

Speaking historically we have been moving from one socket to another about every 2 years when we release a new micro-architecture. Based on the fact that our 2nd generation and 3 generation Intel® Core™ both used socket 1155 for the mainstream processors it looks likely that we should have a new socket for our next generation of Intel processors.
