You can bet that they have them in stock already, they are just holding off selling them to clear out old stockage to limit their losses on the old chips as much as they can. Remember that the weekends are the biggest selling days and the average buyer/user has no idea about the price cuts and new CPU's, the large E-tailers are just taking advantage of the lack of informed buyers. Folks like us on the forums are a extremely small percentage of their overall business.

ok cool thanks. whice etailers specifiy the stepping before you buy em. im still not sure whether im going to oc or not, but id like to get one of the better steppings just in case

TankGuys allows you to pre-order G0 Q6600. Only problem is it might take a month for them to send them to you since they need to hand pick each cpu.
Only way to get a quad right now with G0 is to order the new Q6700 or the QX6850 which only come in that stepping. For dual core you could get any of the new models like the e6850 and get G0 right now.

ok thanks, im in no rush to get the chip. right now i dont have enough money to purchase everything, so if i can get a chip thats a good oc now. ill wait on getting the other parts later in the year
