Poking around I found this

Nothing revolutionary but I thought it was interesting anyhow.

it really is painful waiting for any kind of decent deals for sb/ib chips, it's almost where it's not worth waiting for any great (online) deal because it's not going to happen, might as well wait for a small drop and bite the bullet

Oh if only there were more of these wonderful places that you speak of so lyrically.

If you have ever seen Open Season, there is a scene where Boog and Elliot are talking about Elliot staying with Boog in his old place to be safe from the hunters - the garage.

Then they hear some sound and turn and see all of the other followers and Boog asks them where are they headed and Ian (voiced by Patrick Warburton) says: 'To the safe place. - This land of garage.'

Only for all of us in the wrong part of the world, it is the savings place, this land of MC!! :D

Intel doesn't often change the price of CPUs during their lifecycle (since the adoption of tick/tock cadence to the roadmap). Retailers will offer package deals/sales (like MC) so that is really your only hope since the wholesale price doesn't vary much. For this reason, if you are going to buy a CPU, it's better to buy it earlier in its lifecycle for higher consumer value.
