I have a question about this program. Do you need to run it? For instance I have a laptop with a 1.8ghz P-M Dothan processor running the latest chipset drivers. Should I install this program? Will it work with the P-M? I also have an old Dell P3 1.1ghz? what about this? Thanks.

I've never heard of it, but I'm sure it tells what chips it's compatible with.

PAT

it's on the 875, and it's on dormant in the 865PE

no, it won't work with the dell, and it only works on the 875 or certain *hacked* motherboards with the 865PE chipset

I think you are talking about the Intel Application Accelerator are you not? if so just search it on google and find out which chipsets its compatable with. From what I remember it was mainly for the Intel 845 chipsets?

The Intel® Application Accelerator supports the following Intel® chipsets:

* Intel® 810 Chipset
* Intel® 810E Chipset
* Intel® 810E2 Chipset
* Intel® 810L Chipset
* Intel® 815 Chipset
* Intel® 815E Chipset
* Intel® 815EP Chipset
* Intel® 815G Chipset
* Intel® 815EG Chipset
* Intel® 815P Chipset
* Intel® 820 Chipset
* Intel® 820E Chipset
* Intel® 840 Chipset
* Intel® 845 Chipset
* Intel® 845E Chipset
* Intel® 845G Chipset
* Intel® 845GE Chipset
* Intel® 845GL Chipset
* Intel® 845GV Chipset
* Intel® 845PE Chipset
* Intel® 850 Chipset
* Intel® 850E Chipset
* Intel® 860 Chipset

Yeah, If you run an Intel Chipset, I reccommend getting the Intel Application Accelrator.. and if you run Raid native on the Intel Chipset get the Intel Application Accelrator Raid Edition.

All it is is optomized IDE and ATA drivers... Makes things snappier :)
