I have a 2.8c processor on an Asus P4P800SE MB. I have been overclocking the proc since I owned it. I have OC'ed from 3.0-3.36, and currently run stable and cool at 3.36. I had a problem when I swapped out a PS, and during trouble shooting clocked the CPU back to 2.8 and it would'nt boot??? I clocked it to 3.0 and it booted but had problems, and when I clocked it back to 3.36 it all worked fine???
My question is: Is there some kind of burn in, or a kind of speed memory that once the CPU is run at a certain speed and config, it wants to stay there???
P.S. I have not changed memory timings or any voltages.
CONFIG: INTEL 2.8c Asus P4P800SE, 1GB Mushkin PC3200, Nvidia 6800gt, Audigy2, Thermaltake 480PS
Thanks
