Intel Invests $10M In British Start-Up

Intel has invested $10 million in Mirics Semiconductor, a British mobile RFID chip design company. Intel plans to introduce Mirics to potential investors and provide technical advice to the company as well.

Simon Atkinson, CEO and founder of Mirics, said there is a huge global interest in addressing the technological challenges that mobile broadcasters face. He said the company needs to be able to get its product to the market, particularly in Asia-Pacific countries.
