Decided to part with my i7 970 Hex core processor. Also have a Xeon E5540 quad core that I'm throwing in for free that may work as is or may need repair. Would make a good socket cap/protector either way. Sorry about the title just realized it's actually a E5540. Both processors are for socket 1366. Processors only no HSF.
The i7 970 was pulled working fine. The E5540 was purchased as used/working but arrived with one of the capacitors on the bottom bent/detached. I never bothered testing it as I figured it most likely wouldn't work and I don't have a soldering gun with a tip fine enough to attempt fixing it. So it may or may not work as it sits. In the picture it's the top multi legged thing in a row running straight down the center which I believe is a capacitor.
Looking to get $270 shipped priority for both the working i7 970 and unknown E5540(Optional as free socket cap). Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
