Intel HD2500 Graphic Review or Benchmark?

[FemmeFatale]

Is there any website or post that review the Intel HD2500 graphic? I wonder how it compares to HD3000 and HD2000 graphic. I can't seem to find any comparison on the web.

just did a quick search... nothing sticking out. I am interested in this as well.
anyone have a 3550, 3450 or 3450S that they could run a few benchmarks on? I'm specifically interested in minecraft performance...

I'm also interested in this since I'm building a fileserver/media center computer that runs linux as the host OS. So I'm torn between getting an Ivy Bridge i5 with either VT-d/HD 2500 or VT-pro/HD 4000.

So far this is all I could find is this which has a single comparison to HD 3000 under "3DMark Vantage".

Finally found some definitive results.... looks like HD2500 is definitely worse than HD3000

its in german, but graph is readable.

Hm, looks like HD4000 for me then.

Ummm.... shouldn't the fact that it is called the "Intel HD 2500" indicate to you that it would perform worse than the HD 3000? Well... at least it supports DX11...

We just got lucky enough that Intel hasn't stooped to nvidia and AMD marketing with their GPU numbering. Like how the 8800GT was rebadged multiple times and how a 6870 from AMD is slower than a 5870.

LOL I was JUST going to say this.... model numbers don't usually mean anything.... I was specifically going to mention 6870 vs 5870 as well... beat me to the punch.
The 2500 should perform better than HD 2000 though, despite having the same number of execution units and a much lower clock speed (650mhz on the 2500 vs. 850mhz on the 2000)
