LabTech Software, a managed service software provider, is taking advantage of 2nd generation Intel® Core™ vPro™ processors to improve its customers’ access to and interactivity with remote PCs. With this activation of Intel® vPro™ technology, IT professionals can remotely access powered-off PCs, schedule shutdowns and backups and troubleshoot problems that would normally require an on-site visit by using LabTech Software. The improved remote connectivity helps IT professionals lower operating costs, improve efficiency and speed the diagnosis and repair PC problems in the business.

We use it too, I'm excited to see how all of this works on the new servers we're deploying.

So what exactly can one do with this that can't be done via wake-on-lan and ssh? Is it just for changing bios settings, flashing new bios/firmware ect?
