Hello all,
I have a Norco 4224 and a Areca 1880i 8 port version. I was searching and found that the Intel SAS Expander Card RES2SV240 is the card to go for to expand my connection to 24 port. However, I found on amazon and other places selling the card at difference prices but looks like the same card. Here is the link:
http://www.amazon.com/Intel-RAID-Expander-Card-RES2SV240/dp/B0042NLUVE
For $208 dollars
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00542CPAM/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0042NLUVE&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0459E35MC17FSZN3WMXD
For $338 dollars?
What is the difference? Both has the same model number. The only thing I can see is one has 512MB Ram and the other one doesn't? If I get the $208 dollar one, can I insert my own ram? Sorry for the noob questions. Just curious.
