Intel E4500 vs AMD 5000/6000+

I really just wanna get a set answer on what I should pick up.

I see alot of people saying Intel is basically the better overall pick over AMD, but I see the AMD is much more popular and has many more reviews (6000+ has 800+ 5 stars at newegg, and many awards)

What should I go with, the Intel Core 2 Duo E4500, or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ or 6000+? I'm planning on doing alot of gaming.
 
I would jump up to the actual Core Duo Series.

AMD if no ocing, Intel if you are. However they're pretty much on par to each other with the ones you've listed.
