So I have a 2600k sitting on a shelf as ive been waiting for the Intel DP67BG revised version to be released since the recall. But I cant find any info if it will be coming back.

Has anyone heard anything?

I had hoped since it was Intels own board they would be one of the first to get back on the market...
 
It's strange indeed. Speaking of which, Foxconn (who makes most of the Intel branded boards) doesn't have any of their own LGA1155 boards either.
 
I am waiting for the B3 revision too and it's getting me mad that almost every other manufacturer has their boards out except Intel, with the exception of some cheap H67 boards at Micro Center.
 
Intel probably gave a higher priority to supplying the third-party board makers than to supplying their own MB production.

That's not the same as the DP67BG B3. I personally would not buy any of the Intel-branded lower-end P67 mobos because they waste too much mobo space with PCI-Legacy slots. And in the case of the DP67DE, the only PCI-e x1 slot on that mobo is completely blocked by the double-slot GPU cooler that's on most mid-to-high-end current graphics cards.

pretty right - as you can C it (link above to DP67BGB3) has 2 PCI which make it look untidy @the least..

Yep, you're right.

It has been out for a while. Part number changed to DP67BGB3. Most of the major online retailers (except for newegg atm) are carrying it.

well, I'm just replying to the thread above me that says Intel doesn't have any of their B3 P67 boards out b/c they're giving the revised chipsets to the partners first

and last i checked, my DP67DE has 2 x1 slots. Works for me b/c I am still using a PCI WiFi-N card

I stand corrected. There is one open PCI-e x1 slot on the DP67DE after accounting for a graphics card with a double-slot cooler.

The standard ATX DP67BA, on the other hand, offers no substantial advantages whatsoever over the mATX DP67DE: All that DP67BA offers on top of the DP67DE are two additional legacy PCI slots. And both mobos have one of their PCI-e x1 slots placed where they are blocked by a double-slot GPU cooler.

Both of these Media Series mobos have only five internal SATA ports (two SATA 6.0 Gbps, three SATA 3.0 Gbps). The connection to a sixth SATA 3.0 Gbps port is used instead by an eSATA port.

So, while the DP67DE is a decent choice for a low-end P67 mobo, the DP67BA isn't worth the two additional PCI-Legacy slots, IMHO.

By the way, Tiger Direct still lists it as "Availability: Usually ships within 3-5 days". I guess this is a fair statement since they said they will get it by the last week of this month (i.e. next week).

Truth be told, that last email was part of a series which consisted of very prompt responses. I'm still a bit spooked by the ResellerRatings feedback, but my experience with their support so far is OK (see below, however).

Meanwhile, Amazon lists the DP67BGB3 as "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months" :(

Actually, let me put some key phrases from the whole exchange with TigerDirect, and you can draw your own conclusions:

Me: "Can you please confirm whether you have it in stock? "

TD: "We would like to inform you that we have a stock for the item you're inquiring."

Me: "Sorry to be so skeptical, but I have read many negative reviews online about TigerDirect items magically becoming "backordered" or sending the wrong product.
Could you please state in writing something to the effect of "Yes, TigerDirect has the Intel DP67BGB3 Desktop Extreme motherboard (model BOXDP67BGB3) in stock. If you order today we guarantee that it will ship next week"? "

TD: "We are actually expecting delivery of the item on 03/18. However, since it is still weekend. We are unable to provide you the information if we have received the delivery. We suggest that you contact us again by Monday after 12:00 PM. The date mentioned is an estimated date and no guarantee that we will have it on the same date."

Me: "Could you please confirm whether TigerDirect received the [the board]?"

TD: "Please be advised that we do not have the item on stock as of this time due to the reason that we are receiving a volume of orders for this item. We are expecting stocks of this item to come in by last week of this month."
 
I have an update on this. Ordered BOXDP67BGB3 from ShopBLT three weeks ago, which is a site that shows live inventory and ETAs at their warehouses. It originally said ETA 3/17 then changed to Past Due on 3/18.

I got an email from BLT yesterday which said "Thanks for your patience. We've heard back from Intel. They're currently constrained on this, and there's no ETA available. They do not expect to have stock through April."

DRAT!
 
I contacted Intel yesterday about getting my replacement DP67BG. They authorized an RMA and I was told that once they receive my motherboard I should get my replacement board in 4 to 5 days after that. I am going to ship it out tomorrow and see what happens!

Actually they have given absolute priority to all OEMs. Because it was their fuckup, Intel is not using ANY chips for their own products until their OEMs have their supply chain completely full and they are happy. One of the things they are trying to do to make good on the mistake.

You're fortunate to already have a recalled board in your posession. I am buying one new, so I have to wait for all OEMs to be satisfied AND all existing owners!
 
Thanks for the offer ... if it were for myself I would say yes ... but it is for a server build for a small business client. They will want the full retail sealed box, official warranty, etc.
 
We have added a "B3" to all of the replacement boards. So the part you are looking for is BOXD67BGB3. While we have been shipping these replacement boards out for sometime, we have been working to spread them around so that everyone has a chance at getting them over just a few big resellers.

Thanks IntelEnthusiast. But (1) I think you left a P out of the part number, and (2) may we have a few reseller names that have received them already?
 
anyone hear about anyone shipping these out yet? I seen on ebay someone selling them from Hong Kong, but I'm too afraid to buy it. plus it is not cheap with shipping costs.

It would be nice if they were released soon as I need one by next weekend.

I have yet to see any B3 revision DP67BG motherboards at retailers but if you contact Intel RMA they have them available. I received my B3 revision this week direct from Intel. They made me pay shipping for my board that I sent to them but they paid for 2nd Day Air shipping of my new board. From the day I sent them my board it took about 12 days.

The retailer holding my order (shopblt.com) updated their ETA to 4/22/11. But I wouldn't count on getting it by next weekend!

umm...sorry but I was going to sell it but I can't sell a motherboard with a skull on it! I need to see that everyday 'cuz it's so freakin' cool looking! :)
