Are you thinking about picking up a second CPU?

One thing is that skulltrail uses fully buffered dimm's, which can get very, VERY hot. like burn your fingers hot.

What is your computer not doing today, that if said upgrade happened, it would do better?
 
An overclocked Sandy/Ivy Bridge would be a much better investment, and would be quite a bit faster than an 8-core skultrail setup.
