Intel CPU/Mobo suggestion

Hey, im a AMD guy, a friend has asked me to assmble a PC for him....he sent me his parts list(had a P5E mobo, and C2Q 9400), figured most of the stuff was getting outdated....so i am making a new list for him with some changes....the total budget is $1000, including Win 7 Premium x64.

Only thing i am set on is:

Corsair 650 HX PSU

the ram has good reviews, good price...


obviously since i have a tri channel set i would prefer to get a mobo that does tri channel, i belive that is the x58 ???

any suggestions ? am open to anything...as long as it is in budget....
