Intel Core i7 940 stock heatsink

Hi,

I order some new parts for my new build. If I was not to overclock or choose to overclock a very mild overclock about 300-400mhz. Will the stock heatsink / fan be ok?

I would go with a after market cooler. They are not that much money [ especially after you spend $500.00 for a CPU ] and cool a lot better. The Thermalright True is the one I would get and buy a 120mm fan for it. Make sure your case has good air flow also.

For little or no overclocking, the stock cooler will be sufficient.
