Intel Core i7 7700K Linux Benchmarks

After a preview last week, Phoronix has made good on its promise of serving up the full Linux and Kaby Lake Benchmark Enchilada plate. If you like graphs, you will get some damn graphs! Lots of graphs covering a wide range of benchmarks. There is not much analysis however. You can buy the 7700K at Amazon for $350 and the 7600K for $235.

I'm surprised they didn't include a 6700k in the results.

In practice, is the 7600K faster than a 7700K if we discount HT?

I guess what I mean is, are the changes of getting a higher clock speed better on the 7600K?

Since I already got a rig with plenty of cores/threads, I am thinking of building a rig for singled-threaded applications (like gaming).
