I have to choose between these two on the new HP I'm customizing. I know the Intel one outperforms the AMD one, but which one runs cooler and quieter? Is it a significant difference?

Does it specifiy what core the AMD uses? Brisbane or Windsor? 65 or 90 nm?

I love my 6320. The stock cooler is quiet as hell and my noob ass hasn't had any problems OCing it.

The Intel CPU based machine should run cooler and probably quieter than the AMD based one but really it all has to do with the cooling solution.

Being that he's talking about an HP I doubt it specifies anything about the core. Even so it should be the newest one given the speed that HP moves through their stock. The stock Intel cooler is only quiet so long as your processor runs cool. Set it to run at max speed sometime and come back and tell me how quiet it is. The stock Intel cooler isn't that bad most of the time but things get ugly when the heat is on.
