Hey Guys (Gals),

I'm losing my wits over this ....

I have a Gigabyte EX58-UD4P (socket 1366) motherboard. Chipset is x58 . Southbridge is 82801JR (ICH10R) ....

so, here's my question: what chipset DRIVERS would I download and install? I can't seem to find information pertaining to this subject matter.

To clarifiy, I'm looking at the recent updates regarding intel chipsets:

"Version 9.4.0.1017 of Intel's Chipset Device Software is now available. This update corrects branding for several devices."

Ok ....so what the heck is the X58 and ICH10R considered?

Intel 6 Series Express Chipsets
Intel 7 Series Express Chipset

Something else??!?! I don't get this....am I over-thinking this ?!?! PLEASE HELP! AHH!!!

Here's the download page that has me perplexed about wondering what exactly it is I have on my motherboard:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Se...=Intel®+Chipset+Software+Installation+Utility

Apparently ....my drivers/config would fall under the "600 series." Sigh...why was that so complicated to find?!!?

(If that's incorrect, please advise!)

The INF update tool is the way to go. If there is any manufacture specific devices, you may have to obtain a driver package from the manufacture. Asus uses the ATK driver but it is not included in the INF package from intel.
