Intel - 3.5% performance uplift, 1w lower power...

It's more than 1w- but even with a 1w improvment, when you're at a 15w envelope, that's still quite a bit. With ultrabooks that's adding an hour or more of cordless time.

It's a limited slice of benchmarks- there's no getting around that. The news is that this is what we're seeing from an ultrabook part. Yeah, that assumes that it could scale the same way that Skylake has, and yeah, we don't have evidence one way or the other that Ice Lake can scale like Skylake, but what we do have is quite promising.
