Intake vs. outtake

I've been trying to do some research as to whether intake of cool air into the pc is more important than the outtake of warm air and just can't seem to come up with a clear answer. In my mind, there's legitimate arguments for both. If you get lots of cool air coming in, that means you're filling the case with cool air for the components that need it. At the same time, that cool air is quickly turned into warmer air and it's obviously best not to have it sitting around in the case. The other factor is the room temperature right? The air thats coming into the case is only going to be as cold as the room temperature allows. So considering all of this, what matters most?

In flow by definition equals out flow. If you suck air out of your case, it has to be replaced or it will create a vaccuum (leaving no more air to suck out) or vice versa, you will create a massive pressure buildup in your case. Neither will happen with pc case fans.

Balancing your in/out flow is all about controlling where the air enters the case and where it exists.
