but setup will not detect any of the partitions on the drive...the drive boots into windows fine now, but setup will not recognize the drive...and I would REALLY like to do a reinstall.

It sees my external USB drive, but it fails to see my internal drive. I have been having this problem for about a month now. Previously, I have NEVER had any problems installing windows xp on this drive in this computer.

Actually, a couple days ago I uninstalled SP2 and loaded xp setup and it detected the drive! At the time I didn't feel like formatting at the time so I decided to come back and do it later.

Well, I came back and gave it a shot the next day and I am back to the same problem...SP2 did not install itself back on the computer.

The drive isn't connected to any raid controller or anything...what gives?
