I am fixing a laptop and the DVD drive is broken I need to know if there is a way to install Vista from the Hard Drive I took out the hard Drive (Standard 2.5" SATA) and I have a 32 Bit Vista DVD can I make the hard drive bootable by copying files to it and then install Vista that way?

Thanks

I saw that link already and I tried what it said and it did not work
However I found out the computer would boot from an External CD/DVD/HDD/USB/Etc:D. I want to restore it to the "Out Of Box" as Toshiba calls it but it says it is having trouble creating the partition it has some error (Don't remember and I did not write it down sorry:eek:)
do I have to do something to the internal hard Disk to get it to create the partition? as I tried it with the drive formatted and with a C: partition on it and it did not work either way
I also can't use a normal Vista DVD as I don't know the CD-Key code and as you know it the one on the bottom is unreadable )
Thanks again
