So I partitioned my hardrive so I can test the new Vista. I downloaded the iso file and now I just need to now how to burn that to a DVD and then install in on the partitioned part of the hard drive. Thanks

use some sort of burning software like nero. tell the program to burn the image to the disc, and there voila. be sure you're actually burning the image to the disc and not just copying the .iso file and burning that onto a dvd.

pop in vista and set your system to boot from cd/dvd and then choose the partition that you created to install vista on. vista will create a dual boot setup and ask which OS you want to boot up at each boot-up.

I used imgburn to put the iso on to a dvd-r. Imgburn is free from their website. It took all of 6 or 7 minutes to burn it.Just tell windows to send the iso file to the DVD using imgburn.

I also partitioned a small 20GB portion of a second HD to test RC1.

I put the DVD in and away it went. Total install was 25 minutes. The OS will ask you where to put Vista.
I noticed that the beta nVidia drivers are already there.
I had sound issues and had to separately install the basic windows XP drivers for my MB on board sound, but after that it worked without a hitch.
I did not install any other drivers, everything has worked very well.

There is a beta Trend PC-Cillin anti-virus that you can D/L free from Microsoft's Vista site that I used on my Vista RC1, it works flawlessly.

As the other poster said, when you boot up,Windows will ask you what OS you want to use.

I really like Vista so far. However I havent tried to game with it just because with beta gpu drivers I 'm not sure what the quality will be.
My trial comp is e6300@2.5Ghz,ASUS P5N-SLI,1GB Corsair value RAM,eVGA 7600 GTKO OC to 625 from vendor 580.
