Installing Nvidia 6600 Driver Problem help please!

My friend is 100% sure that he has an Nvidia 6600 card but whenever he tries to install the 71.89 drivers this error pops up during installation:

"The nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. setup will now exit."
 
try a different [better] driver

and take a look at the card itself - it'll say on it somewhere what it is...

the geforce 6600 series usually has a rather large heatsink - with a manufact.
nameplate on it somewhere

If you dont know... crack the case and look. If its an OEM go to their site and stick in you serial on the support page. It will save you hours of trying different drivers.
