Got a computer that has everything, except a modem. Decent memory, HD, etc, but this was used at our law firm, hooked up through NetGear on our server. Now I'm wanting to use this for home, and i'd like to swap out my old modem and replace the network card that's in place of where a modem would go, with the modem from my old computer.
Modems aren't just plug and play right? How would i go about doing this?
Just putting a modem into a rig that didn't previously have one, but instead a network card.
Thanks.
