I just purchased a newer Linksys G router, and I'm looking for something to do with my old linksys router (BEFW11S4). I've read that there is some unoffiial firmware out there that can give my old router features of the linksys wet11 bridge or turning it into a wireless client?. Also, knowing that the routers system is based on linux, couldn't there be theoretically a small linux distro that can fit on the onboard flash? So far, the only thing I have been able to find is a hacked firmware for my new router to boost power.

Thanks.

its not the WRT54G in any way. i dont even think it runs linux, as they dont appear to have posted source code for it.

Saying that this is not possible? BTW, I earlier mentioned the WET11. I acyually meant the WAP11.

anyway, yes, there is no 3rd party firmware or source for the BEFW11S4 v.#
