Which program?
It varies from app to app. Usually it is installed for all users by default. If for some reason it is not, it may need to have it's permisions adjusted, or it may have to be installed individually per app. Each app can be different.

yes, I've figured that out the hard way. I want to install trillian across all users but it only will install for one at a time. Is there some command I can use to do this?
