Installing folding@home on a flash drive

Is it possible to install F@H on a flash drive for borg purposes and run it off there temporarily on any computer? Except the installer forces installation onto the C:\ drive, but it would be a cool thing.

Depends which client. I believe that the console uniprocessor and GPU clients are portable (as in they can be run off a flash drive and don't add any files or modify any registry settings of the computer they are used on), but the SMP client is definitely not portable.

Don't use the installer. Get the console versions that come in .zip file. Then just extract to your flash drive and run from there.

Yea I run uniprocessor from a flash drive....I carry it with me everywhere so when im at work not doing anything it can run.
