Installing dual Video Cards

I came upon an extra monitor and decided that it would be nice to have a dual monitor setup. I found a cheap PCI video card and decided to install that and see if I could get it going, but after I install it and install the software and restart my computer it never restarts properly. It will just come up to a blank screen and restart again, then back to the blank screen and restarts again. Its just a never ending loop. Is there something I need to do in the bios before adding the second card or something?

Here is the setup
Windows XP Pro SP2
ASUS A7N8X
Athlon XP 2800
ATI 8500DV (First VideoCard)
ATI Radeon 7K

Im sure that Im leaving out some info, so just ask if I left out what you need to know.

I am thinking you need to pull that videocard, you might need to install the proper drivers.
ussually a recycling system is due to a bad component/device.
There are other things such as you need to go into BIOS and configure both cards accordingly.
Another problem is that some cards don't like working with each other so you might be out of luck there. But if you can get into windows, you need to follow up on the drivers and see if you need to install the new VideoCards drivers.

In your BIOS set the init first to PCI.

In windows set the AGP to be the #1 video card.

I tried the advice given (setting the CPI card to run first), but no change. If both cards are in it will not boot completely. It tries, but then restarts over and over again. Any other suggestions, or are these cards just not going to work?
