Hi all,

I'm thinking of doing all rigid tubing for my new build and wasn't sure how to install it properly.
Because there's an o ring inside and then another one when you unscrew the top.

Do I push the tube until it slides into the inner o ring or push it so it just touched the first one???

Thanks guys

Well, if it's something like the EK HDC fittings, then you are supposed to unscrew the top a bit (loosen it up or completely remove it and put on the tube), slide the tube into the fitting as deep as it goes and then screw the top back on. The bottom o-ring provides sealing, so you have to be sure the tube goes through it, the top o-ring provides sealing and also locks the tube in place.

They mind of look like this

So would I have to chamfer the edges for the tube to go on properly?? Cause it's being stuck on the o ring inside. And it won't budge

Yes, chamfering the tube is most definitely recommended. Not doing so can damage the o-ring on the way in. That stands true for acrylic flat out, but if you are using PETG, you may be better off with a little bit of sandpaper as a standard chamfer tool will usually just chew up the end of the tube.
