I got a heatsink to review from spirecoolers.com and its the first time ive ever installed a heatsink  basicly I take off my old stock heatsink and then slap the new one on there and use the little heatsink holder thingymajigs to keep it on. I really dont wanna fry my system as Its my only comp I will be able to pay for for another 6 or 7 months.

make sure there is a thermal pad or thermal paste betweek the sink and the cpu core. also be sure you have good contact. good luck, shouldn't be a problem though.

It has preapplied thermal grease, can someone give me a quick step by step instructions for it. I heard that I should go extra carfull cause im installing on my amd 2500+? The preapllied thermal paste has a little "splotch" where it hit the packageing, should i worry about taht too much.

you get to review a HeatSink and you dont even know how to put it on?!?! no fair :( :(

I "know" how to put it on, I just wanna be extra carful and im not 100% sure.

Its the SPA13B0 SkiveStream II heatsink.

They send me one of their "Extra quiet" fans too and it runs louder then a delta lol.

I use a verry specific tool, to apply thremal compund, a "credit card" or something to that effect, put a bead along the edge, then spread the compound across the cpu in a thin even coat (not too thin, just over paper thin)

hope that helps
