Hey, im a little bit confused so any help will be greatly appreciated! I have a ds3 (rev3.3) and installing x2 HD's onto it. The first is a WD Raptor HD (md1500ahfdrtL) which will be used for o/s and applications. The other is a WD 320gig SATA2 drive (3200ksrtL) ill be using for media. Now question is can i install these into just the regular Sata connectors, or do i have to use that sata card my mobo comes with? And will i also be able to install windowsXPsp2 onto the raptor w/ out any problems or are there some form of compatibility issue that lurks around?

you can use any of the SATA ports on your motherboard. Depending on which ones you use and the BIOS setting you will get slightly better or worse performance and may or may not have to install a driver (confused yet?)

I would highly recommend that when installing XP, you have only the harddrive connected on which you are planning on install XP. This ensure that it will be assigned drive letter C. As stated above, depending on your BIOS settings and which port you have this harddrive connected to, you may need to us nLite or a driver disk (F6) during installation.
