installed XP cant update!

I installed Windows XP on my girlfriends computer and let her use my key code. It let her install SP3 but after that with Messenger, Windows player 11 and all that it fails to install? Is there something I am doing wrong? Is it cause its the same key?

First thigns first, it sounds like you've used the same key for two systems at the same time. That's a no-no. Only one system per key is allowed per the EULA.

Now, let's assume you've done the "right" thing and went out and bought a legitimate key for your sister's computer. Whne you say fails to install, do you get an error message or does it just not do anything?
 
Yes, wmp11 requires windows genuine advantage. You can't share the license code. You have to pay the Mstax. Isn't like OSX where you can share the license codes with one other machine. I suggest install Linux on her machine
 
Most likely it is a WGA issue. Either buy her a license, or get on that Linux bandwagon ;)
