100 (or 101 in pictures) represents 100% flow. When I adjust the pot that regulates the voltage received by the pump, the flow rate goes down, and the meter displays the percentage of the flow. At the lowest pot setting, I get 36% of flow, at which point the flow sensor trips a relay that turns on a loud buzzer.

You know, get that flow sensor sucker calibrated for 0.1LPM resolution and display the actual flow rate in LPM, make it about half the size, a little more attractive, and offer it for $40-50, and you'd sell a thousand easily. People love spinny whizzy shiny things that serve some purpose and have lights on them.

A lot of the time it doesnt even need a purpose.

I like the Idea of decent flow stats like that. Tho Id rather have them on the front of my comp, with the temps.

Neat flow meter. I agree that it should show flow volume, not %... or bounce back and forth between them.

Yeah, go with what only 4% of the world's population uses

We have a lot of backwoods rednecks here in the U.S that don't like change Cath so you(everyone not in the U.S) must revert to the standard system, sorry... ;)

Yeah, its just a matter of time. your grand kids will laugh about the funny old measuring system you used to use. Canada switched to metric in the early 80's - you Americans have held out long enuff.

I would gladly use LPM or GPM as a variable for display, however I have no means of standardizing the setup - I can't check the flow rate against a known value. That's why I chose to go with percentage of flow, and so far I'm quite happy with this setup.

it would be easy to find the known value, just measure physically the amount of water passing thru by using measured containers.....

How much flow do you loose with that?

I have not noticed any change in temps after the addition of the flow meter. I was worried that it would introduce a pressure drop, but seemingly I am not limited by pressure. I seriously need to rethink the way my pump is being fed by the reservoir, since the pump is actually located on a higher level than the reservoir, and I am certain that it cavitates due to inlet 'water starvation'.
