I competly overhauled my PC, but as soon as I hit power the temperature warning flashes and there is no video. all the components are new, and I re-seated the CPU with a xp-90 heatsink and no change.

what could this be?

I'm sure there's a setting in your BIOS that you can check your Temps and shut off the warning(if your temps are ok).

The mobo's going to spaz out if nothing's plugged in to the CPU fan header, it's a safety measure to make sure your CPU doesn't melt down due to fan stoppage. Should be cleaner power too unless the implementation is totally borked. Plug it in to the right spot and try again.
