Hello everyone. I purchased an OCZGameXStream 600W PSU. I am running an MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum Mobo. The problem is that my main ATX connector and the 24 connector are on the same sleeve where as the two inputs on my mobo are spread apart. Is there anyway I can cut the sleeve open carefully to spread the wires? Would this void my warranty?

Also there are two wires called "CPU 1 and CPU 2" which have the same connector as the 24, I am guessing putting that into my mobo is a no no, but what do you guys thing:/

are you talking about the plug that goes into your motherboard?

most new power supplies have an extra 4 pin plastic plug, it actually slides into the plastic 20 pin connector. is that what you are talking about? you just have to pull out that 4 wire plastic extender piece making it a 24 wire plug i think.

i bought a new power supply and i saw that and then i was worried but i realized that the piece just slides out

Thanks for the reply bro. I called a friend up and he helped me out a bit. My 20 pin fits in fine to my mobo. He said to leave the "24" connector on the same sleeve as my 20 pin dangling and plug in the "cpu 1" 4 pin into my other slot that I thought I couldn't reach. Does that sound right?

Okay phew. Everything seems to work okay now. I plugged in the cpu 1 into the 4 pin slot on my mobo. Btw it is okay to run several things on one molex? For instance, a couple fans and what not through several adaptors?

On a side note, reading software voltages are very unaccurate right?

Thanks a lot guys!!
