Hey people,
I recently assembled myself a new comp with the following specs:
X2 3800
2GB OCZ Plat
2 * 300GB Diamond Max 10
2* 7600GT

When I tried to install XP Pro (corporate version), the installation has detected only one of my drives and have also displayed half its size (in this case 150GB available) for the installation. I checked the cables and wirings and they were all correctly attached. I also tried installing my XP home edition to check for changes. In this case, the installation was able to detect both of my drives (2 * 300GB harddrives) that are available for installation. My question is, how do I get my XP Pro (corporate edition) to detect the two harddrives in the first place?

Thanks

I think the problem with your win xp corp. cd is that it doesnt have service pack2 slipstreamed onto it. You will have to have service pack2 at a minimum or maybe service pack 1, i cannot remeber exactly, the original win xp pro can only detect 150gb no more.

Thanks,
Found the solution in the answer thread in the storage forum. Thanks for your help anyway

Hopefully the slipstreamed xp cd works

....I'm sure as long as it's a legit license / reg #, it'll be fine....:D

"Friendly reminder" that any discussion of waerz is very specifically against the rules, OK...??..

Thanks, and good luck with the new system - B.B.S.
