I purchased a Fluke Pro3000 Probe and tone generator thinking the probe would work as an inductive amplifier. I was hoping not only to be able to trace out wires but use it for audio installs by listening to audio as it goes by on the cable (line level). I was told it was an easy way to test crestron quick media setups and other applications.
So my question is did i buy the wrong tool for the job? This probe does not seem to hear audio along the wires as I have seen with cheaper inductive amplifiers.
