So I installed my Apex (w/ Storm) over the weekend, along with a Polarflo GPU block and a chipset one too (please dont start). But when I reinstalled the stuff, I got a beep code saying my video card was either dead or not fully mounted. From looking in the case, it looks to be the latter, but I cannot get it to go in further. How can I fix this? I got an image one time but that was it. Mobo is a DFI NF4 Ultra-D. I have mounted video card in both slots, of course moving the jumpers. Nothing either way. Thanks.
Mods, if this thread is better suited for video card section, then please move it.
 
Im pretty sure its making good connection. The beep sequence indicated a graphics issue. Thats why I am assuming that.
 
Come on guys and gal(s), I need help. I'm getting tired of using my 400mhz iMac :)
 
I'm using the exact same blocks without issue, you might want to try removing and reinstalling the block to see if it helps. There shouldn't be any clearance issues though. Are you sure that you plugged in the external power lead......... :eek:
 
its quite possible that you could have damaged the core during install. it happens.
 
After it wasnt working at first, i cleaned off the AS5 and the core looked fine. I'm not an expert, but I'm guessing a cracked core is noticeable. And yes I did reapply AS5 after.
