I have a WD Raptor that runs my OS, and i got a WD 160 gig SATA drive for storage.. i plugged it in, but it wont show in my compter? how do i get it to show?
 
Assuming that you have the new drive installed correctly (jumpers and whatnot) then you need to partition and format the drive. This can be done in windows by right-clicking the My Computer icon, and going to manage. Alternatively, you can reach it by going to Admistrative Tools in the control panel and choosing Computer Managment. I think that you can even get there by typing compmgmt.msc into the run dialog... but that's a lot of work.
