The whole point is to take and upload images on the fly wherever you are. Are you carrying your pc around with you on your adventures??

i only knows that my idea is to be "in" without to use a smarphone :D

Nope, it's just a mobile app. You can get the same type of functionality on a desktop, though. iPhoto and Lightroom both provide a similar type of editing to what Instagram offers, and they support uploading to Facebook with a plugin.

Not one that supports a camera. Phone apps are like console games. If you want to play Halo 3, you need an Xbox. If you want to use Instagram, you need a smartphone.
 
Now that facebook bought instagram there is no point. as though there was a point to it ever.

If you want the instagram look just take crappy pictures and play with some of the filters in imagemagick.
